What is the scope of TJHS?

The Tropical Journal of Health Sciences (TJHS) publishes original research, reviews, case reports, short communications, commentaries, and letters across all areas of health sciences and related fields.

How often is the journal published?

TJHS is published quarterly (January, April, July, October). Accepted articles appear online immediately and are later compiled into issues.

How do I submit a manuscript?

What is the Article Processing Charge (APC)?

An APC applies to accepted manuscripts. Waivers may be considered in special cases (low-income authors, hardship, sponsored issues).

How long does peer review take?

TJHS follows a double-blind review process. Initial decisions are usually communicated within 4–6 weeks.

Does TJHS assign DOIs?

Yes. Every published article is assigned a Crossref DOI for global visibility.

What is the plagiarism policy?

All submissions are screened for plagiarism. Misconduct results in rejection or retraction in line with COPE guidelines.

What ethical requirements must authors meet?
  • Human/animal research must have institutional ethical approval.
  • Authors must meet ICMJE authorship criteria.
  • A signed Author Agreement & Licensing Form is required.
Can I use AI tools in my manuscript?

AI may only be used for grammar, formatting, and references. AI cannot generate core scientific content and must not be listed as an author. Any use of AI should be declared.
